A lot of wine drinkers know that, sometimes, drinking a glass of their favorite wine can cause a headache, but why does that happen? Well, there are several reasons why wine might cause headaches. Wine headaches usually occur 15 minutes after the consumption of wine, and they usually come with flushed skin and sometimes nausea.

One of the main reasons wine drinkers get headaches after drinking their favorite wine is because they consume way too much. Wine is delicious, but if you down the whole bottle in a matter of minutes, you will surely get a headache. Although wine doesn’t have as much alcohol as other hard-core drinks, it still has enough to give you a major hangover if you drink like there’s no tomorrow.

The best way to minimize your chances of getting a wine headache is to limit your drinking to two glasses per day. Moderation is everything in life, my friends.

Many people are ill informed on exactly what a good glass of wine is all about. In addition to wine being good for you and having medicinal purposes, it cleanses the palette in preparation for a delicious lunch or dinner. It is so enjoyable to sit and chat over a good glass of wine, instead of a cup of coffee. Wine is consumed in some countries in place of water. A little bit goes a long way. Do not over-do a good thing, and you will reap all the wonderful benefits of a good glass of wine.

Wine should be stored in a cool place with a temperature of 45 to 65 degrees, with 55 degrees as ideal. Wines of all sorts are used in cooking. And, wine is best served at 50 degrees. Open red wines 10-15 minutes before serving at about 50 degrees.

Where to find the best wines:
Pride Mountain Winery: St. Helena, California
Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars: Napa Valley, California
Shafer Vineyards: Napa Valley, California
Chateau St. Michelle: Woodinville, Washington
Canyon Road Winery: Geyserville, California
Chateau St. Jean: Kenwood, California
J’s Winery: Healdsburg, California
Benton-Lane Winery: Monroe, Oregon
Bogle Vineyards: Clarksburg, California
Schramsberg Vineyards: Calistoga, California

To help keep the wine well preserved over the years, it’s important to follow a few steps to make sure the wine maintains its unique taste.

For one thing, the placement of the wine is very important! It’s best to have the wine in a dark place. The reason being is that light will cause the wine to oxidate faster, which decreases the taste tremendously. Even if you can’t find a dark place, having a dark cloth so the light won’t get in will help a lot.

Another thing to worry about is the angle especially for corked wines. If the wine is stored upright for a long period of time, the cork will eventually dry out and air will get trapped destroying the flavor of the wine. Storing it on the side will help slow down the aging process.

The temperature of the wine should not exceed 75 degrees Fahrenheit. If stored over 75 degrees for a while, it begins to oxidize faster and destroys the taste. Although, it’s preferable to have the temperature around 68-73 degrees Farenheit, it’s also a bit riskier. Make sure the temperature of the wine is really consistent year round with very minimal changes.

As Wine Connoisseur, there are quite a few things to notice when drinking wine. Make sure you are able to take in the aroma because all wines are different. Some wines have a much sweeter undertone and others have a bit more of a dry undertone. For one thing, when you take a stab at tasting, it’s better to actually get a mouth full of wine so you can really taste the wine as well as smell it. This way you have more senses activated to taste the acidity within the wine.Check out this link here. A really good wine actually stays within your mouth and your smell for up to a few minutes. You can easily gauge how well the wine is mixed as well as impurities from the general wine mixed. Also, another thing to pick up on is actually swirling the wine around in the glass. This is a very good way to see whether the wine is on the sweeter tip as well as on the bitter tip. Other things to note is the temperature. It’s much better to be in an area where the wine is subject to a more temperate climate, this has an affect on the taste.

Drinking great tasting wine can be one of the most enjoyable experiences for any enthusiast. However, many of the great tasting wines are rather expensive and can break the bank on a constant basis. However, the good news is that there are ways to find great tasting wines for under 15.

One of the best ways to find quality wines is to look into wholesale wine or liquor warehouses. These warehouses often employ many quality wines without retail markup. My all time favorite wine, a Pinot Grigio with apple flavors, can be found at my local wine warehouse for just 12.

Another great ways to find great wines on a budget is to attend wine tastings. Wine tastings are often organized to introduce new wines. While there, they may offer the sale of this wine for a discounted price. I have often found bottles that retail for over 30 offered at a low price of 10-15 at their wine tasting premiers.

Another incredible way to find great wine for under 15 is to look online. Often times, retailers and wholesalers will offer your favorite wine at a discounted price. Also, wine enthusiast sites are inundated with wine clubs. Wine clubs offer a certain amount of wines each month for a lower than retail price.

You should not have to break the bank to afford great tasting wine. There are many options available for you to find wine that you will love for under 15.
